As part of this year’s World Clean Up Day, Miniplast, on the 20th of September, 2025, joined long-time collaborator IMPLEMENTERS and other partners such as Mayekoo and several others for a beach clean-up exercise at Laboma Beach Resort.

The initiative brought together organizations, institutions, and individuals in a collective effort to address the growing challenge of waste pollution along Ghana’s coastline.

Represented by our finest recycling professionals, we were as part of the clean-up exercise also able to aid in the collection and retrieval of recyclable plastic waste that had washed up on the shore back to our facility to be recycled.

In addition, Miniplast donated some 240 litre waste bins to support the programme and to

encourage proper waste disposal beyond the event. The bins were to be donated to a market

after a successful event. Other notable partner included Zoomlion, who supported the effort by collecting other forms of waste to be repurposed. The collaboration underscored the spirit of unity and shared responsibility that lies at the heart of World Clean Up Day.

The atmosphere throughout the event was charged with initiative and enthusiasm. Having so

many people come together to support the cause made the programme not only impactful, but also fulfilling for all involved. Speaking on the partnership, Implementers reaffirmed their shared commitment with Miniplast to environmental sustainability and community action, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility and community in driving long-term change.

At Miniplast, we recognize that meaningful progress in environmental sustainability is practically easier through partnerships and community action. Our participation in this initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting activities that promote a cleaner environment and a more sustainable future.
